La source ferrugineuse identifi\u00e9e d\u00e8s le 17e si\u00e8cle contribue \u00e0 la renomm\u00e9e d\u2019Amphion comme station thermale tr\u00e8s en vogue sous le Second Empire.<\/p>

A la fin du 19e si\u00e8cle, une nouvelle source alcaline est d\u00e9couverte.<\/p>

Avec son d\u00e9bit remarquable de 300 litres \u00e0 la minute, elle est appel\u00e9e Maxima (du latin Maximum). Pendant les travaux de captage de Maxima, une source sulfureuse \u2013 la source Terrier, du nom du propri\u00e9taire du terrain \u2013 est aussi d\u00e9couverte.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    L\u2019architecture remarquable de cette arche aux arcades claires a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue et r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en pierre dure d\u2019Hauteville par l\u2019entreprise de taille de pierre Philippe Bouvet, les signes du zodiaque sont l\u2019\u0153uvre de la sculptrice B\u00e9atrice Sassone.<\/p>

    La source est reconnue de qualit\u00e9 min\u00e9rale. L\u2019usine d\u2019embouteillage des eaux min\u00e9rales d\u2019evian est implant\u00e9e sur la commune depuis 1965.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                Chapelle orthodoxe de Darbon<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                R\u00e9cemment restaur\u00e9e, la chapelle de Darbon est unique en son genre dans le Chablais.<\/p>

                Cet \u00e9difice orthodoxe repr\u00e9sentatif de l\u2019art byzantin se distingue par la grande richesse de ses fa\u00e7ades enti\u00e8rement color\u00e9es de fresques. Le petit b\u00e2timent avec son bulbe en cuivre a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit dans les ann\u00e9es 1960 \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la colonie de vacances de Darbon qui accueillait des jeunes pensionnaires de la diaspora russe.<\/p>

                Ce site remarquable est associ\u00e9 au nom du p\u00e8re Igor \u2013 un iconographe \u00e0 la r\u00e9putation mondiale \u2013 qui a men\u00e9 la construction du b\u00e2timent et dirig\u00e9 des \u00e9l\u00e8ves iconographes pour la d\u00e9coration ext\u00e9rieure et int\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                  En 2023, la Ville de Publier a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9e par la Capeb (conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration de l\u2019artisanat et des petites entreprises du b\u00e2timent) Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes au titre de la promotion du patrimoine. Deux dossiers de restauration ont \u00e9t\u00e9 valoris\u00e9s\u00a0: la r\u00e9paration d\u2019un vitrail de l\u2019\u00e9glise, la r\u00e9fection de la toiture et du bulbe de la chapelle de Darbon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                  Le vieux bourg s\u2019est semble-t-il naturellement nich\u00e9 au pied du coteau en raison de la proximit\u00e9 de nombreuses sources.<\/p>

                  L\u2019une d\u2019entre elles, issue d\u2019une r\u00e9surgence situ\u00e9e \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des actuels r\u00e9servoirs de Crochet, alimente toujours le lavoir ainsi que les bassins environnants.<\/p>

                  Hormis le r\u00e9seau routier, le village a conserv\u00e9 sa structure originelle et une identit\u00e9 propre.
                  Les fermes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transform\u00e9es en habitations tour \u00e0 tour r\u00e9habilit\u00e9es, et les petits commerces ont disparu.
                  Plusieurs chemins pi\u00e9tonniers permettent de rejoindre le Vieux Village.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                    Les rives du L\u00e9man ont inspir\u00e9 les vers de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre po\u00e9tesse Anna de Noailles, n\u00e9e Bibesco-Bassaraba de Brancovan, elle passait tous ses \u00e9t\u00e9s dans la villa familiale \u00e0 Amphion.<\/p>

                    Apr\u00e8s son d\u00e9c\u00e8s en 1933 et des fun\u00e9railles nationales, ses amis firent \u00e9lever dans un jardin qui descend vers le rivage, un temple votif con\u00e7u par l\u2019architecte Emilio Terry.<\/p>

                    Anna de Noailles est inhum\u00e9e au cimeti\u00e8re du P\u00e8re-Lachaise \u00e0 Paris mais son c\u0153ur repose selon sa volont\u00e9, au cimeti\u00e8re de Publier.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
